About the Project
Diverse Cymru, now part of Adferiad, is delighted to announce that we are managing the additional round of the Welsh Government’s Culture Grants Scheme for Grassroot Organisations and that the schem will be open for applications until 5pm on Monday 15th September 2025.
The Welsh Government’s Culture Grant Scheme for Grassroot Organisations is one of the range of activities taking place to support individuals from Black, Asian & minority Ethnic communities – including people from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities; individuals from the LGBTQ+ community; and individuals with disabilities to have equitable access to and involvement in cultural activities across Wales.
Who do we support?
This Grant Scheme is part of the Welsh Government’s work on equality planning and strategy, specifically the:
- Anti-Racist Wales Action Plan
- LGBTQ+ Action Plan for Wales
- Disabled People’s Rights Plan: 2025-2035

How do we do it?
This new round of grants worth £174,000 revenue funding and £60,000 capital funding will enable Grassroot Organisations or Groups run by or for:
- People from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities in Wales. This includes people from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
- People from the LGBTQ+ community in Wales
- People with disabilities in Wales.
to deliver 6-month projects between October 2025 – March 2026 that reflect the diversity of Wales’ communities through arts & culture activities.
There are 3 grant streams:
- Small Grants (£1,000.00-£2,000.00)
- Medium Grants (£2,000.01-£5,000.00)
- Large Grants (£5,000.01-£15,000.00
