About the Project
Pen y Dre Apartments is a 24-hour temporary supported accommodation that supports young people with lower-level support needs and care leavers aged 16-24 who are engaged in further education activities via Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. It is situated in the Gurnos estate in Merthyr Tydfil and consists of 5 individual flats and 1 staff flat.
There are Adferiad Floating Support Workers as well as Housing Mentors that support individuals over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.
Pen y Dre Apartments help young people to identify their needs and enable them to take control of their lives through building resilience and developing the skills and resources that are necessary to move on independently in the community.
Eligibility / Referral Process
All referrals to the service will be via the Single Access Point managed by the HSG Team.
Multi-Agency Placement Panel will be held to discuss suitability and referrals are assessed according to individual need and risks.
