About the Project

Salisbury Road is a supported accommodation project delivered to occupants in one supported accommodation property in the county borough of Wrexham who are experiencing a serious mental illness and have housing-related needs. This Wrexham housing-related support project is provided over seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and includes a sleep-in and waking night member of staff. This project has proven beneficial to individuals by enabling them to work on their daily living skills. The overall aim is to provide tapering support so that individuals can maintain longer-term tenancies, breaking the cycle of homelessness and vulnerability and allowing them to live independently.

Who do we support?

We support individuals 18 years of age and above who are experiencing serious mental ill-health and may have substance dependency needs. Our shared supported accommodation property enables individuals to live safely and teaches valuable independent living skills.

How do we do it?

Our service is provided in a way that helps people to become more independent in every area of their life including:

• Support to manage accommodation and feel safe
• Help to make choices and take positive risks
• Support to go to social or leisure activities to feel part of the local community
• Support to identify and access training and education
• Support to gain employment and voluntary work
• Support and signposting with budgeting, and financial matters
• Help with managing physical matters and mental health
