About the Project
The Powys Young Person’s Substance Use Service offers support to young people aged between 10 to 18 years regarding their own substance use including drugs, alcohol, smoking, vaping, steroids, or energy drinks.
We also offer support for young people who are affected by a loved one’s substance misuse.
What to expect from the service:
- We offer a non-judgemental, confidential service and a space to get information, advice and help to make positive changes.
- We use structured therapies to best support the needs of the young person.
- We deliver education sessions to schools, youth clubs, or any youth groups.
- There is also a mentoring scheme to help divert the young person away from negative influences and provide them with opportunities to attend a variety activities with members of staff or trained volunteers.
Eligibility / Referral Process
Anyone can refer into the service including self-referrals, all we ask is that the young person has consented to the referral.
