About the project
The Adferiad Pembrokeshire Seibaint (Breaks for Unpaid Carers) project provides floating support to individuals who are experiencing challenges with their mental health.
The support offers a short break to family members or unpaid carers, of those affected by a serious mental illness.
We offer:
- 1:1 Support Sessions
- Ladies Group (once a week)
The 1:1 support session(s) is with the cared-for, giving the family members or unpaid carers a break from their caring roles. The 1:1 support is provided to the individual to assist the supported person to have the opportunities to complete daily tasks, meet new people and learn new skills. The additional aim of supporting the individual is to improve their mental health, confidence, self-esteem and independence.
Women’s Group
The aim of the Women’s Group is to provide the attendees a safe accepting space to talk about issues particular to women and it gives a chance for respite for their carers who support them.
The Women’s Group meets weekly on a Thursday morning at Tenby Resource Centre, Trafalgar Road, Tenby.
Subject and timetable of Sessions are agreed by the attendees and can include:
Art & Craft
Walking
Gentle Yoga & Meditation
Cooking / Baking.
Peer Support / Discussion sessions.
Eligibility / Referral Process
The referred individual must have an identified person who has the caring role.

- The Unpaid Carer.
- Community Mental Health Team.
- Pembrokeshire Carers Information Support Service.
