About the project
The service transports people from Cynon Valley and Merthyr Tydfil to the Royal Glamorgan hospital. The passengers are friends/relations of in-patients on the mental health wards. The transport service allows the passengers to visit friends/relatives which can help the in-patient to recover.
The Royal Glamorgan hospital is not easily accessible for people who don’t drive/don’t have access to a car. The opportunity of using the transport service to visit friends/relations can attribute to the wellbeing of the passengers since they are able to get to the hospital for visiting.
Eligibility / Referral Process
People without the means of reaching their loved ones, who are residing on the Mental Health Wards of Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board.
