About the project
Bridgend Seibiant Service has been devised to support the carers of those who suffer from mental ill-health indirectly and directly through providing one-to-one support to the cared-for individual based on their Recovery Programme. We promote the empowerment and independence of the cared-for, reducing the need for a carer’s role.
Each carer, and the individuals they care for, who access the service will receive a holistic and person-centred approach to help them with the individual and unique circumstances they face by providing support mechanisms and developing their skills and knowledge to be more empowered and enabled to address these matters or others more effectively in the future. We promote further sustainability in a person’s role as a carer by managing their welfare.
Throughout each case the team will support each individual within their capabilities and level of comfort, providing more or less support as required with the task at hand.
The service offers support with:
- A maximum of 12 support sessions will be offered to the Cared-for within a maximum of 6 months
- Assistance within the 12 support sessions for the Carer
- Emotional Wellbeing
- Physical and Mental Wellbeing
- Financial Wellbeing
