About the Project
Flintshire Housing First provides housing-related support to individuals living in the county of Flintshire by focusing on strengths and goals within a framework of reducing harm, achieving tenancy sustainment, and living independently. The service aims to build relationships with individuals who have a history of disengaging from services, working with these individuals to co-produce support plans that meet their needs. Flintshire Housing First is committed to providing a timely and efficient service which operates in line with our principles of empowerment, self-management and recovery, and ensuring compliance with internal quality standards.
Who do we support?
This service supports clients aged 16 and above who have complex needs such as mental health, substance use, offending behaviour and are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Clients are supported to access sustainable accommodation and develop the skills needed to maintain and sustain secure accommodation. The service is available between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, with a flexible on-call provision being provided over weekends. Specific hours of support will be determined by each client’s needs.
How do we do it?
The Flintshire Housing First service will liaise with landlords, statutory bodies, and voluntary agencies to ensure effective support for service users to help meet the complex needs of each client. Staff will be flexible across the service hours and provide an on-call service for out-of-hours provision where necessary.
Referrals
All clients must be aged 16 and above and be living in the County of Flintshire. All clients must be homeless and/or living in temporary accommodation or be at risk of becoming homeless. All clients will be referred through Flintshire County Council’s Referral Pathway.
