About the Project
Wrexham One Love Choir is based at Trinity Church in Wrexham on a Wednesday from 11am – 1pm. We provide a hot meal at the end of the session for all to stay for. It is an important service because our choir serves as a platform for personal growth and empowerment. Through the therapeutic power of music, members develop confidence, self-esteem, and a renewed sense of purpose.
This transformative impact is invaluable, as it not only enhances individual wellbeing but also strengthens the fabric of the entire community.
Who do we support?
The One Love Choir supports people aged 18 and over who have a variety of primary needs, including mental health, addiction, substance use, learning difficulties and homelessness.
How do we do it?
We provide advice and guidance to our members who are on their journey to recovery, we signpost other agencies such as Cyfle Cymru and we can make referrals to our onsite counsellors. It is beneficial to the members because they receive support from their referrals. We support members who have mental health problems and who are experiencing homelessness by again offering emotional support and signposting to relevant agencies such as their GP, mental health professionals and Shelter.
Referral
As it is a community choir, anybody can join and there are no requirements to be able to join. All are welcome.
