Adferiad are proud to announce that the title of Queen’s Nurse has been awarded to Professor Euan Hails, Director of Clinical and Therapeutic Governance, following the Queen’s Nursing Institute Awards in December. With this award only extended to nursing professionals who demonstrate exceptional levels of commitment to nursing practice and patient care, we are delighted that Professor Euan Hails’ contributions to the field have been recognised and showcased on this level.
This is not the first time that Professor Euan Hails, also a leading consultant nurse within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, has been celebrated for his significant contributions on a national level. He was also included in the 2022 New Years Honour List, receiving an MBE for services to children and young people’s mental health in Wales after leading the development of the national Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) services across Wales.
Queen’s Nurses form a national network of healthcare professionals who advocate for high-quality patient care and standards within community nursing, by serving as a source of inspiration for outstanding practice. Recipients of this title are champions for learning and progression, benefitting from developmental workshops, bursaries, and networking opportunities to establish maintain consistently high standards practice across the country.
