About the Project
The DAWN Centre is a multi-agency building, which is owned by Adferiad but serves as a central building for multi-agency services providing substance use and mental health support. It is based in Colwyn Bay, Conwy, and provides a wide range of services in one building. These include Adferiad Carers, Parabl, CAMFA, CAMFA14+, Adferiad Supporting People, Cyfle Cymru and Caniad. It is also the central office for Dechrau Newydd and the NHS Conwy Substance Misuse Service.
We are open Monday to Friday and between 8.30am and 5pm. We close on bank holidays and weekends.
Who do we support?
The DAWN Centre provides a venue for clients, family members and carers to come and seek support around their substance use, by offering a wide range of services under one building. We have numerous groups, one-to-one sessions and treatment options delivered at the DAWN Centre, but on an appointment-only basis.
How do we do it?
The DAWN Centre, along with the services based here provide a wide range of services including therapeutic services for clients, family members and carers, along with linking to other key services. We offer a range of groups for those in recovery and also involve other services to help our clients towards gaining employment. We offer support to carers who are struggling with family members, ensuring they are supported. The DAWN Centre is a central building for North Wales services, and the staff based here, who have been staff members for many years with Adferiad (previously CAIS and Hafal), have a wealth of knowledge to signpost clients to other services if and when required.
Referral
Services based at the DAWN Centre can be accessed via self-referral or through professional bodies such as a GP, probation service, police, and hospitals.
