About the Project
The Living Room provides one-to-one counselling and group therapy support. The service is based in Cardiff and Carmarthen, and is also available online via Zoom. The service is important because it differs from other counselling services, having an “all addictions” approach and not being time limited in the delivery of treatment and support. The service is also twelve step informed and welcomes anyone who needs support taking that first step towards recovery or wanting to maintain their ongoing recovery. We also welcome and provide advice and support for family members, partners and friends who have been affected by addictions. The service can be delivered in Welsh or English.
Who do we support?
We offer our support to anyone aged 18 and over who says they’re in recovery, or have an interest in recovery.
How do we do it?
We provide intensive one-to-one counselling to help clients detach and prove to themselves that they can live without attachment. Further ongoing support is provided through group therapy sessions, both online and hybrid.
We also:
a) provide on-going, not time-limited, and accessible help, support, and aftercare
b) tackle loneliness and address adverse childhood experiences, and early-life trauma
c) help to pick up on on-going mental health problems and refer clients for further specialised help.
Referral
Clients can self-refer, be referred by family / friends, or by other third sector organisations and health professionals.
If you would like to request more information or to discuss the referral process with us, please get in contact using the phone or email address above.
