About the Project
Our Gwent hub is situated in the heart of Pontypool town. We offer unpaid carers a safe space to talk about themselves and their caring role. Together, we can identify how Gwent Carers Hub and other local services can help you to understand, achieve and grow as an unpaid carer. Looking after your own wellbeing is essential to you and the person you care for. We understand how hard being an unpaid carer is and we are here to support you.
The Gwent Hub and Spoke outreach work is funded by the Gwent Regional Partnership Board.
Who do we support?
We provide support to all unpaid carers such as: young carers, parent carers, partner carers, sibling carers and friend carers.
How do we do it?
The service offers support with:
• Providing advice and support to all unpaid carers
• Signposting to other avenues of support to meet specific needs
• Referral for a carers assessment
• Referral to local authority
• One-to-one support in person or on the phone
• Help to apply to our small grant scheme

• If unable to get to our hub we can help service users to see our outreach workers at events in their local authority

• Emotional wellbeing
• Financial wellbeing
