About the Project

The Pembrokeshire Friends and Family Support service is based in Haverfordwest and supports carers all over Pembrokeshire. Our service offers carers caring for a family member, friend or neighbour with a mental illness access to peer support, information, and advice. Our aim is to connect carers with their local community and ensure that their voice is heard. The service delivers one-to-one support as well as support within the weekly carers’ group.

Who do we support?

We support adult (aged 18 and over) unpaid carers of individuals with a mental illness.

How do we do it?

We provide service users with access to carers information and advice, carers outreach assessment, and peer support. The service also connects them to their local community, ensuring that their needs are met. We focus on carers’ overall wellbeing and how we can support them practically by ensuring that their own health and wellbeing needs are being supported and met to help them continue their caring role.

Referral

No referral required – the service is open to adult (aged 18 and over) unpaid carers in Pembrokeshire.
