About the Service
The aim of Carmarthenshire Preventative Mental Health Service is to better support your mental health by engaging with you as an individual. Our trained staff will go through a ‘wellbeing conversation’, focusing on what matters to you – your individual needs, goals and aspirations. This feeds into a unique well-being plan that looks at all areas of your life, allowing us to provide support that’s tailored to you.
Every person we support is offered up to six support sessions which allows our staff to make sure the plan works for you, no matter your situation or experience.
We support people aged eighteen and over by providing access to information and opportunities.
The service offers support with:
- Wellbeing
- Independence
- Resilience
- Quality of life
We also offer a central referral route to other support (via the hubs).
Mental Health drop-in groups are available in the Ammanford and Llanelli areas on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
Ammanford – Monday 10am – 12pm
Llanelli – Tuesday 1pm – 3pm (outside activity group), Friday 1.30pm – 3.30pm
