Who do we support?

Trin Hyder project delivers support to individuals across Caerphilly who are experiencing serious mental ill-health.

How do we do it?

Staff support the individual’s recovery using a holistic approach and working with them to identify their needs and goals. The project is a peer-led service, with those using it identifying the activities they want to engage in each day. The overall aim is to provide support so that individuals can maintain good mental health and wellbeing by providing a range of activities, including gardening, carpentry, upcycling, promoting healthy lifestyles as well as building peer support networks and accessing existing opportunities in the community. The relaxed atmosphere and buddying system used for new referrals also encourages the development of peer support networks. Overall, our focus is on developing skills to promote independence and wellbeing.
