About the Project
Diverse Cymru provides a recovery-based project for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan who are affected by mental ill-health. We take a holistic approach and use solution-focused methods that promote recovery, empowerment and independent living in the community. Our project also works to raise awareness of issues surrounding Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic mental health and to help reduce discrimination and inequality. We can offer understanding and non-judgemental support in areas which will help focus on recovery, such as: individual support and advocacy, community support, information and advice, befriending and volunteering opportunities, as well as signposting for individuals, family members and carers.
